Latest rumors out of Mankato

Say that he is done.

(this post was more in an effort to get that fat guy from BG's post off my screen when I come to FTLOSBW because it's gross.)

How surprising. Yawn.

And if he's really done, how strangely appropos that his final play is the one it is.

Seriously...WTF? I figured there was a 95% chance he was coming back. Why have the surgery if he wasn't planning on it?

If I'm not mistaken, however, didn't he announce that he WASN'T playing at about the same juncture of last season, only to reverse course in late August? It's pretty clear that he wants to avoid training camp, and that his ankle isn't totally healed. So, the way I see it is this: he says he's done, partially blaming his ankle. Then, either a week before the regular season, or even in week 2 or 3, he says that his ankle feels much better and he wants to give it one more shot. Given that the Vikes' bye week is week 4, they will obviously take him back, since our schedule after the bye week is brutal:

at NY Jets
vs Dallas
at Green Bay
at New England

BTW, all four of those games will be nationally televised (one MNF, one SNF and two 3pm Sunday games). Yikes...I hope Tarvaris and/or Sage aren't starting!

Word is that Sage is brutal in camp this year so, check that one off.

No way he is done. Never thought I would be saying this a few years ago but I really hope Brett Favre returns to the NFL.

Yeah...now he's out telling people: "What? I don't know what the fuss is about? I never said I wasn't coming back." Look, I want him back this year. Plain and simple. We are among the 4 best teams in the NFC if he's our QB, but will be a wild card team without him (at best). I just wish he didn't have to b.s. his way around. If he didn't text anyone saying he was set to retire, then are some of our players telling lies? His messaging today makes sense: It all depends on my ankle.

he'll be back. i dont think he can stay away until his ankle literally snaps. until it's official and until he is dead, i won't believe it.

and then, im not too upset about tarvaris. there. i said it.
