It's gut-check time
Well boys, that was fun! The good news is that the Twins FINALLY ripped off that elusive win streak we've talking about. The bad news is that Mauer and Morneau are both banged up and now we head to Tampa Bay for a 4-game set with the Rays.
As Jan and I were fond of saying during the 4th quarter of Vikings games back in the day: It's gut check time!

Ahhh!!!!! My eyes!!!!! Bring back the picture of Jan with a Pavstache, please. That was bad, but I'm going to have to wait a week to come back to make sure this one's off the front page.
Tonight is as close to a must-win as we have, outside of Sox games, in the next month. Pavano against a guy who hasn't started a game in the Majors (at least this year, and I've never heard of him before), to start a 4 game series. Lose this one, and 1-3 for the series is highly likely, and 0-4 a definite possibility. Tampa's just as red-hot as the Twins at the moment, so we need to cool them off immediately and show them who's boss. That would be Delmon Young.

BG - That pic reminds me: go to the gym. Yikes.
Now the season gets interesting. Have to say that Les Tigres are done and we're fighting it out with the Hoes. This road swing with 4 in TB is, as MCA pointed out, must-win time.
I have a sneaking suspicion that DYoung is the kinda guy who haunts the Rays more than Garza haunts us.
