Does any player in MLB swing weaker than Adam Everett?

Anyone?

Greg Maddux?

Man on first, no out, Everett should be bunting 100% of the time (and 200% on Sunday).

Did the Gamecast person just decide to go get a couple hot dogs and a beer in the middle of the fifth inning, or what? It's been 1-2 to Pudge with a man on first and no one out for like 15 minutes.

By the way, that article linked on the front page about Santana getting booed at Shea is both hilarious and appalling. Those people have no idea what they're doing. On the other hand, a little part of me is saying "Hope you enjoyed that, Johan. You ever get booed at the HumpDome? Didn't think so."

I have to admit I'm taking a little pleasure in Santana's struggles. He was revered in MN, and if he doesn't put up 17 wins in NY, he'll be dogged and pronounced a bust. But you're right, at the same time, these fans are ridiculous. Give him some time...he's a stud stopper who will likely earn all (or at least most) of that cash.

Gamecast is killing me...LH, you must be at the gym already or something (that, or on the East Coast) to be seeing the game live.

Actually, I was going off of the Gamecast... it has this new "sounds of the game" functionality that lets you hear the ball whirl threw the air as it is pitched, the crack of the bat when it is struck, or the whooosh of the bat when it is swung on and missed. When I was listening to Everett... all I heard was this muffled wimper.

Glad to know that you guys struggle with Gamecast too...I thought it was just f'd up all the time because of all the firewalls here at work...guess not. By the way, how great a job does the Gamecast guy have... Travel around the U.S. going to games with this little box and everytime something happens push a button or two... I think I'd put that on my top 10 list of cool jobs. #1 is Jessica Alba's masseuse...if anyone was wondering.

I too have trouble with Gamecast and have resorted to the game log on Startribune.com. No where near the detail pitch by pitch but updates pretty regularly and doesn't leave you hanging. Although I agree, the Gamecast job has to be one of the best jobs around.

My mom, who turns 65 on Wednesday, has a weaker swing than Everett; but when she was in her prime she crushed the ball.
