Things That Were More Obvious/Predictable Than Last Night's Outcome And Being Dominated by A Certain Pitcher Who Is Actually A Zombie

1. Michael having Fredo killed
2. FDR winning in '44
3. The pairing of Paula Abdul with MC Skat Kat would mean the end of both of their careers
4. That's all I can think of, actually.

Another thing that will predictable this weekend: I will be watching college football and and my daughter on Saturday evening, while occasionally flipping over to TBS to check the score...but that is it.

Things That Make Me Want to Cry:

1. I would probably choose to watch the Gophers get mauled by Wisconsin tomorrow before I'd watch the Twins game tomorrow.

Things That Need Be Said to Ron Gardenhire:

1. Go .500+ against the Yankees next season or you'll be calling MacPhail about a job with the Cubs.

Why DO we root for "losers"?

I feel for you fellas. I turned off the TV before that homer hit the stands on Wednesday night and I was fearing the worst yesterday too.

As a Cubs fan first, I share the perspective that there is nothing worse that knowing something is coming and (temporarily) convincing yourself otherwise.

Maybe take a little solace in the fact that it's not like it's the Arizona Diamondbacks knocking you out...leave that to the Cubs
