WHAT A GAME!!!

1. Holy shit!
2. Bring back Thome! That hit alone was worth $1.5M. Can you believe we got this guy for $1.5 million?!?!
3. Cuddy - awesome scoop. That saved the game.
4. How unlucky were we in the 8th? Ground rule double clears the fence by about an inch, Hardy somehow doesn't get hit by Santos, the wild ass pitch bounches directly back into Pierzynski's glove off the backstop, and then Span smokes a rope to center but Rios catches it. Should have won right there.

Again, what a game. Amazing way to start this series, and that has to be seriously demoralizing to the Hoes. I wish you guys could have heard Hawk Harrelson on TV. I think he's going to die by his own hand tonight.

I just saw the coverage on espn.com, wish I could have seen it. FOB ER, aka gameover, was there. I could be wrong but it seems like Thome has come up big against his former teams, both the Sox and Indians. No data to back that up, just saying it feels like it. I would have paid to hear Hawk meltdown.

Is Rausch one step away from being sold to the glue factory?

Guys - see my point in previous post: Thome just instills confidence. Two clutch bombs in 3 days for him. And yes...$1.5M!! I guess the Sox are happy with Mark Kotsay as their DH!!

There's got to be Youtube footage of Harrelson's reaction somewhere.

Very bummed I didn't see this game. Oh...and did you guys realize that this was the first walk-off HR at Target Field?

Anyone else a little worried about the back-end of the bullpen? Capps has been very uninspiring...

Here is a great soundbite from the AP write-up of the game:

"White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen insisted before the game the Twins don't have a mental edge over his team, but they're on some impressive runs against the Sox: 20-6 overall and 12-4 at home."

Already taken down from youtube, unfortunately, so here's the written replay:

Steve Stone: something about the Twins and Sox respective extra innings records this season.

Harrelson: "The 0-1 to Big Jim....."

Crack!

45 seconds later:

"We'll be back."

Cut to commercial.

Classic.

Wow. You go to Europe for a couple weeks and all of a sudden Joe Mauer is hitting .335 and is Baby Jesus once again.

Thank the Lord that we own the White Sox, fun to own someone that we hate. Would love to have seen the Hawk Harrelson call during Thome's walk off.

It is worth googling "Hawk Harrelson Jim Thome" (I posted it in Holy Bejebus but think it will be removed) and looking for the video of the call from Tuesday night's game as described by MCA to really appreciate the 45 seconds of silence on CWS tv network and the solemnly uttered "We'll be back"
