House of Cards?
Well - the preseason went from bad to worse with the news that Sidney Rice is out until mid-season due to hip surgery. What's most frustrating about this situation is that he injured the hip against the Saints last January, so this injury has been around for 7 months...ugh.
Am I the only one that feels a bad vibe around this team right now?
How about Rich Harden pulling a Slowey last night? Wow...

Well, I can tell you that my brother, who picked up Bernard Berrian in the 10th round of his fantasy draft on a whim, sees a little silver lining in this, so we should all take solace in that. Also, he might be back before the playoffs we may not make without him and Harvin.
Oh, and how dare you implicitly question how much Javon Walker has left in the tank? Does the fact the f'ing Raiders cut him have anything to do with this?

Yeah, Berrian really needs to step up. Other than getting beaten within an inch of his life in Vegas, Javon Walker hasn't done anything newsworthy in 5 years. With respect to Harvin, can Chilly just let him resume smoking weed? This seems to be the obvious culprit. In fact, he claims that he willingly tested positive at the NFL combine because that way he'd at least be sure he could participate. He figured not participating (on account of a migraine) was worse than testing positive for marijuana. Questionable logic, but at this point, dramatic steps need to be taken.

Are things worse than two weeks ago? Yes. Are things dire? Not yet. Is Sidney Rice a moron? Kind of. Are we totally f'ed? Almost.
Positives -
Brett Favre - how can you not pull for him harder now? We are riding this motherf'er into his destiny.
AP - He is still really good. Right?
Harvin - He needs to live in a huperbaric chamber but he's top talent.
Our Defense - We have a good/great if aging D-fense which, along with knowing how many men are on the field, is how you win championships.
