We're #1! We're #1! We're, oh, wait, happy birthday to us! Happy birthday to us!
As a history major in college I spent the morning first reenacting the Treaty of Paris (cast off thy British yoke!), then the Louisiana Purchase (Sacre Bleu!), and then our inauguration ceremony in 1858 (Henry Sibley would have been proud.)

That hymn is pretty solid. I may or may not have incurred a few goose-bumps...
Day baseball today. Let's go piranhas.

Nice win today. I couldn't stomach the thought of being "swept" by that team. My god, that lineup is pathetic: they had TWO guys in the order today with OPS over .675. Two guys!!!
Delmon is winning himself some believers. Frankly, I think he should trade spots with Cuddy in the order the way he's swinging it right now. Plus, he doesn't ground into every double play he's offered.
Cue annual MCA pre-series Yankee kvetching and preemptive gnashing and wailing about Yankee ownership of Twins panties. Call me when we win a game in Yankee Stadium.
