"Don't count us out" - Joe Mauer, postgame interview.

How much fun was that? Minnesota is the epicenter of the sports universe over the past 3 days and we delivered. Yeah, it's a division win but that ballgame was an instant classic. Gotta say, winning is fun. It just is. Say what you want about getting the Yankees and being 0-7 against them this year, I'd rather be us than Detroit.

P.S. I think BG should stay in Japan. Seems to be working for us.

P.P.S. I am going to Spain for a 5th year anniversary trip without the Ilsa. Be back on the 19th. Good luck, boys!

Wow...what a 24-hour stretch of sports action in Minneapolis. And all at a place that everyone wants to blow up because it's such a dump. I love it...it's like the dome giving everyone around the sports world a big ol' middle finger.

If I had been watching that Twins game, I might have had a heart attack. Every time we could have put it away (based on my in-depth "analysis" of the box score), the Tigers scored a run.

I will be in Asia until Sunday the 18th, so let's hope we can keep the international mojo going. Following these games on the internet seems to be working out so far.

Couple other things I read that I wished I could have seen/heard:

1) Crowd chanting a thunderous "M-V-P, M-V-P, M-V-P" for Mauer.

2) Crowd chanting "al-co-ho-lic" at Cabrera. Absolutely love it (although it is borderline, given that his drinking resulted in a domestic violence report). I just love that he totally left his team hanging during the most important series of its season. Nice, dude.

Jan - enjoy your trip. Has it really been 5 years? Mrs. BG and Charlotte joined me in Tokyo for the first week of my trip...definitely quite different traveling with an infant.

Sounds like the Vikes dominated the game but gave up a ton of yards in the 4th quarter as the pack were trying to mount a comeback. Would love to know what packer fans were thinking after the game?

That game was amazing. Each team could have won it numerous times. How about some game balls to guys who are usually goats (in no particular order):

1. Nick Punto- takes as much abuse as any Twin on here. Last night though he was tough at the plate and then he had the throw home.

2. The light hitting Matt Tolbert picks up two hits, an rbi and scores a run.

3. Alexi Casilla- do I need to go over how frustrating this guy has been. The base running error was unforgiveable, although he might have been out anyway. Now he is the Twins version of Francisco Cabrera.

4. The bullpen. It was not perfect but it never imploded.

5. Cuddy, I owe you an apology too.

Bill Smith looks pretty good right now for aquiring Cabrera, Mahay and Rauch. They all certainly were handy last night.

One of the most insane and awesome games i have ever watched. How great is it to hear them blare "don't stop believing" at the dome? It's so perfect. These guys never give up. it felt like the spirit of 87 during that game. Regardless of what happens, this is an amazing team and an amazing story and anything's possible. So bring on the yanks. NYC has done enough to ruin america this year and i think america is looking to knock them down a peg. And now america finally doesn't have to root for the red sox to beat them.

Dead George steinbrenner can take his $1000 tickets and put them in a shit receptacle.

And btw, we finally have a vikingteam that shares a team attitude like the twins. No Moss, no awful owner, no assholes talking about how theyd rather be somewhere else. I don't remember being as happy and proud to support our teams as these two teams.

I get goosebumps:
