Scott Sentenced

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3504250

Darrion Scott received a two year stayed sentence and a $200 fine for putting a plastic bag over his child's head. Here is the mind-numbing post worthy part:

Scott said he put the plastic bag over his son's head to show the boy there was nothing to fear.

Nothing to fear about putting a plastic bag over a toddlers head!?! Someone better tell my dry cleaner that they can remove all those warnings about the bag not being a toy and that the bag should be kept away from small children. While you are at it Scott, why don't you give the kid a fork to stick in the socket and leave his toys in the street to play with.

It would have been better if Scott had quoted FDR and said "By putting the plastic bag over the toddler's head I wanted to show the child that he has nothing to fear but fear itself. I mean isn't that what this country is founded on?"

Was this guy gone before Childress came on board, or did he violate our new "code of conduct", which I am guessing has a provision related to abusing and endangering your own kids?
