Gotta love Gardy and his response to Liriano's agent's meddling. I am setting the over/under on the F-Bomb's return at August 1st if we are still within 3 games of Chicago.

Gardy is absolutely right...this agent has no place in this. However, we need to find a place for the franchise (or f-bomb). The dude is on fire. Go with the 6-man rotation if we have to.

I want him back this year to have a chance to get his confidence back at the major league level. Otherwise he and we sit all winter wondering what to expect for '09.
Put him in the 'pen for a couple weeks, and let Boof check in at Rochester. When he's ready to move back into the rotation in August, then worry about crowding. Good chance someone will blow up or get injured between now and then, anyway.
I wish Gardy would have called the guy out even more, mocking him for the complete lack of logic in his position. Something like "We're in the playoff hunt and he's the best pitcher in the organization. You think we're going to maliciously hold him down in the minors? You should be more concerned we recklessly pull him up before he's ready again and his confidence or arm collapses and both your careers wither."
