"I didn’t know it was possible for something to both suck and blow at the same time." Bart Simpson

Man alive. Can we actually beat a good team? 0-4 series against the Pale Hoes; 0-3 series in Boston; on the verge of 0-3 against the Yankees. We have responded after these games with nice little runs that ease the pain a little bit but seriously people! Watch out for the four game set aganist the LA Angels of Anaheim.

Keeping hope alive. Day game boys, fire up your Gamecast?

I did not see last nights game, I went to Batman. I noticed on Gamecast today that Span is first and Gomez is 9th. Finally!

6 batters and the Twins have yet to get the ball out of the infield.

RTS - Go-Go was put in the 9 hole last night & Span lead off the game with a single.

Two things are going to happen today:

1. Richie Sexton is going to come up big

or

2. Mike Lamb is going to come up big

Dude I am sitting here with a chatty Cathy Yankees fan watching the game. It is my own personal hell.

After 6 the Yankee outfielders still have yet to make an out.

At this point it makes no difference but the Yankees payroll is $207 million to the Twins $57 million. That is just ridiculous. God I hope they miss the playoffs the last year in their beloved stadium.

Why are we such pussies? Seriously?!?!? There better be some story about a post-game tirade that gets this squad fired up like apparently there was after that Pale Hoes series when the team got to Milwaukee.

You have to call up Liriano now, right? See this from the Strib today:

"The lefthander had perhaps his best start of the season, winning his ninth consecutive decision Tuesday as Class AAA Rochester beat Toledo 13-0.

"I'm ready," Liriano said.

Liriano gave up only two hits and two walks in seven innings while striking out 10. He threw 99 pitches, 62 for strikes, in improving to 9-2 with a 3.13 ERA at Rochester.

In his past five starts, he has a 0.26 ERA, with one earned run in 35 innings. In that time, he has struck out 42."

That's it, I am done today, throwing in the towel, calling it quits, hitting the showers... They should have just forfeited and given everybody a rest.

Come on Texas!

Time to cruise youtube for things that don't suck.

Dudes, c'mon - we were up against Mussina today, and you all know what happens when Mussina gets to face the Twins. Not good things for the Twins. Yet, inexplicably, two of you still decided to venture that we'd win this game in today's poll on the front page. You two are crazy, whoever you are.

I'm going to put together a more thorough argument on this and post it tomorrow (it will be titled "Minnesota Twins : New York Yankees :: Washington Generals : Harlem Globetrotters"), but this (T)ankees thing the Twins have has reached "needs discussion and action" levels. My quick research reveals that during the Twins' current stretch of good teams, from 2002 until today, they are 12-33 against the Yankees, and now 3-19 in New York. This is not a blip or annoyance anymore, and I'm tired of no one in the media talking about it, or sugarcoating it if they do. The Twins have a complete, inexplicable, inexcusable mental fuck going on. They are the Yankees' ultimate bitch.

MCA -

1. I voted "Yes" they could get a win today before I realized Mussina was on the mound.

2. I blame Gardy. Seriously. Not like he is playing the game but there must be some underlying, non-verbal thing he is doing with his team that sets them to lose.

3. Maybe when the Yankees get a new stadium this will all change.

4. Should I be as f'ing angry as I am right now?

5. Don't look now, here come the Tigers.
