In FTOSBW dance off, I think I am putting my money on BG to win, MCA to show and no one would place.

Clearly BG would be our winner, and I don't think there would be a point to second place.

I'm not as bad as David Brent, or Ricky Gervais, though. My moves would probably be described as "good enough not to make a total fool of himself." I don't have the loosey-goosey, go for it bravado it takes to be more than a decent dancer. And my repertoire of "moves" is in the single digits. I spend more time mimicking what others are doing than busting out anything of my own. On the plus side, I do have above-average for a white dude rhythm, so at least I'm not awkwardly clapping or flailing about with no connection to the music.

Jan, what did we used to call that noodly move we always did at weddings, where we pretended to be those little plastic toys that sort of fall over/crumple up when you push your thumb on the base? I think you'd win second place in the FTLoSBW Danceoff for your authorship of that one. Fun times.

Can we get a link to that old KQ92 fat kid dancing in front of a brick wall ad? I know that was a national thing tailored for one station in every market, so I bet it's out there on the intertubes. I'll go look for it later.

Best. Feature. Ever. Love it, Jan. Almost as much as I love the Digital Underground, whose beats were tailor-made for my moves. MCA sort of mentioned it, but having a good sense of rhythm is probably the most important factor in saving face on the dance floor. That, and shedding all self-consciousness...

Love that noodley move that Jan and friend of blog MS perfected. I still bust it out occasionally...to a generally great response.

P.S. Off-topic, but per this week's poll, I expect Northwestern to miss the dance, but please, it would be un-American to root against us this week. Seriously...we've NEVER made it. Of course the first BTT game is vs. Minnesota...figures. BTW, Chuck is not pleased with the state of Gopher hoops right now...but I will save that post for another day.
