Now here's a picture of a bridge.

What is this "NFL Football" that you speak of? I am not familiar with it. This hereby closes the books on potentially the worst autumn/winter of football in the history of the state of MN. Seriously. Think about it...again, thank you football gods. And as Jan texted on Sunday: "I give up."

When do pitchers and catchers report?

Any chance Al Nolen returns to the Gophers before the end of the regular season? If not, they are in trouble, as that ship is sinking faster than the titanic right now.

Has anyone else read the coverage of Herschel Walker's MMA career? I haven't, but I do know that he won his first couple matches, and appears to be in great shape.

I saw his last match on Showtime a couple of weeks ago. He is beating nobodys. However, the guy is an incredible physical specimen. His body looks like the top 1% of athletes in their 20s. I beleive he is somewhere around 48 years old.

I have watched zero college basketball this year. The one time I checked the standings, I saw Iowa was 0 for everything in conference play. Sweet.

Regarding the Twins, how excited is everone for the season? I know the journey is supposed to be fun, but a good regular season is not enough. They had better be playing at least 169 games for this season to be a success.

RTS - is this guy from MN (or better yet, Norway/Sweden)?

BTW, I think the photo of a bridge is quite appropriate, as I would like to jump off of it about now.

Dudes, thanks for the laughs. Hope you suckers are enjoying the arctic chill. I've been in Honduras all week. Working like a bitch, but it's 80 and sunny every day.

As for the Superbowl, talk about icing on the karmic imbalance bitchcake. Who's still glad we signed Favre? Talk about crossing the streams/going back in time and taking your own mother to the Under The Sea Dance. We should have known how this would turn out.

Time for another enforced hiatus from following sports.

Zero excitement here re: the upcoming baseball season. I'm still so pissed about how last season ended I don't want to tune in.
