RIP: Killer
What, no mention? Come on, the first Twins "super star" before there were "super stars"? Sure, he played in a different era but he was our father's Kirby (minus the world series rings and the affairs.)

He was the Twin's Mickey Mantle. There is no other star from that era that was as big for the Twins.

A truly good man. A great superstar to personify the twins. Its basically just him and kirby.
Its still frustrating that he wasn't a first ballot hall of famer. When he reired he was fifth all time on he home run list. Come on. He'd still be 8th if it wasn't for cheating steroid users.
I couldn't help but feel enormous sadness reading his statement when he went to hospice. Even though it was humbly brave and noble in the way he faced it.

Here is a good link from my Dad about all the karma around the time of his passing (lots of #3's), including our 3-game winning streak, and a scheduled series in Arizona which allowed the team to attend the funeral.
