Pohlad dead

This is literally the only thing that could justify posting over Jan's story. Now I'm not going to jump up and down with glee, but I will ask the question this is a good thing for the organization right?

Mixed bag on this, one the one hand he owned the team that brought us 2 rings and he actually stepped up and paid for talent at one time in his life (wow times have changed, remember when Kirby became the $3M Man?) but on the other hand you have an owner who volunteered his team for contraction, told the state legislature he was going to put up $100M of his own money (turned out there was interest attached to that money and it was actually to be paid back making it a loan), and is the richest owner in baseball with a payroll that continues to languish at the bottom third of the league.

While I love kicking people when they are "down" (literally and figuratively) because it's easier to do and you can go for the head, I feel like kicking Pohlad right now would be bad karma. Give it a few more days at least until after he is laid to rest. News outlets are eulogizing him which is what they should do, no one is mentioning that the man got his start in business by delivering foreclosure notices to family farms in the upper midwest during the Depression. World needs ditch diggers too, I guess.
