BG, that is perfect. Love it. Has anyone dared to turn on Sportscenter since this happened? I watched while at the gym this morning and it is like someone f'ing died. My lord. I get it, he was a great player, one of the best, but people get a grip. These people need a better thesaurus. Some 'sconny fatty chick said she broke down in tears when she found out. How long until this dies down?

Yesterday on Espn they kept replaying the phone call to Chris Mortenson. It was like Fox news getting a hold of a small childs call to 911 after finding his mother dead.
Can you blame him for retiring? Who wouldn't want to kick back, hunt, fish and pop some pain killers in back woods Mississippi?

Jan/RTS - I have not watched SC. In fact, I couldn't even listen to John Madden's daily sports call on the radio here this morning (as we know how much he slobbers over Fav-ruh). I say this lasts until Saturday, at which time coverage shifts to college hoops, since Duke and Carolina are playing, and we'll also get our daily update of who's on the bubble. Sweet.

For me, Brett Favre retired the day he took on a dive on Michael Strahan's "record" setting sack...
Before that day, I was firmly in the-I don't really like him much, but I respect the way he plays the game-camp. I hope he regrets doing that. I hope Strahan regrets that he did that.
I hope that Eric Rick (never trust a guy with two first names)regrets punching me in the back in the 7th grade... I hope George and Barbara regret having their first child...I hope Mr. Roarke regrets making Tattoo climb that belltower and ring that bell all the time, I hope J Alba regrets never falling in love with that strong, silent banker-type... I hope McDonald's regrets replacing their perfectly wonderful fried apple pies with a woefully inadequate baked cardboard-like substitute... these are my hopes
