Ptichers and Catchers Report

This article sums up the Twins' 2008 question marks nicely StarTribune.com

I had no idea that Mike Lamb with be the 12th player at 3rd base since Koskie left. Yuck. Punto is our new Al Newman, just not as fat and won't be the third base coach recklessly waving players home/holding players up at horribly inopportune times.

Can't disagree with any of those questions. That there's no filler in the 10 of them - they're all legit. and serious issues - underscores how totally unknown this season is coming into Spring Training.

Editorial question/complaint: the "News from The Teams that Brought You..." section in the righthand column of the front page contains five Strib stories that have nothing whatsoever to do with Minnesota sports. I realize and appreciate the time jan stenerud spends keeping this thing up to date, but I think we're losing editorial focus when we've got two Daytona 500 stories linked on our page. I'd rather have a stale article about a Gopher recruiting target or contract extension talks for the Wild's goalie or something. Just sayin'.

User feedback is always appreciated, thank you MCA. That is an RSS feed from the Strib I installed early on and haven't paid attention to it. Let me get something a little more user-focused.

Good, comprehensive look at the upcoming season. Question: who is Brendan Harris (2nd baseman)? Never heard of this guy! I hope we extend Nathan. It's more about perception than anything else at this point.

Also, I would like to commend Jan on the "Holy Bejebus" section, of which I am an avid reader. The schedenfreude article link on Sprewell was the best in a while.

I've tried a new RSS feed from WCCO sports. I think we are still gonna get the national stuff but let's wait and see.
