Hello?

Been a week with no new posts. What's up out there? Twins are finally 2 games over, and hopefully ready to rock and roll now. I count four road series wins in the last three weeks. That's good stuff. Mauer's done with that whole .400 thing, I think. Also, where'd the homers go? Baker's starting to look pretty good, Perkins appears healthy and productively decent now, even Liriano's throwing well. Also, hat's off to Guerrier. Quietly putting together a nice season and an unsung piece of the team's hanging in there so far. Hopefully Gardy won't use him 'til his arm falls off and he looks like Jesse Crain by mid-August. I'm a little concerned that he's pitched in every other game so far. That's a lot of appearances.

Prior to the KC series I was going to write a post about the upcoming stretch possibly being that 10-2 run we have been waiting for. I looked at the pitching matchups and saw that Grienke would not be pitching in the KC series. I knew that the first place Tigers were after the Royals. A perfect chance to take over first. Then I saw that the Yankess are coming to town next week and I scrapped the whole idea.

If the Twins were a stock, improving to 2 games over .500 would be considered breaking their resistance level and a possible indication that they are moving higher. Personally, I would be a buyer as it appears the starting pitching is coming around.

Just throwing this out there, would the Phillies be willing to trade JC Romero back to the Twins for Alexi Casilla? That trade definitely did not work out for the Angels nor is it looking good for the Twins either.

Happy 4th to everyone.

MCA - thanks for the post, thought I would let my latest "the dose" sit out there as long as possible until BG finally became a papa and posted a note about it (like in September.)

Why do the Royals own us? I hate them.

Bigger than the Yankees is are the next 3 against Les Tigres. Good thing is we have a 9 game home stand before the All-Star break. Bad news: Tigres, Yankmees, Pale Hoes.

Read Howard last night, he likes us making a move to get Augie Ojeda to play 2nd. JC Romero is a poor man's Jesse Crain, well maybe that's the other way around.

Thanks MCA for the new post. RTS loved the bullish technical analysis, I'm looking forward to ticker 'TWINS' breaking out of this classic head and shoulders pattern- I for one am long 'TWINS' based on what's already been said: improved starting pitching (especially Baker and, to a lesser extent, Liriano) signs of a more solid middle relief, and the return of Span...add a legit second baseman to their current collection (I didn't know they were lookign into that, so thanks Jan for that tidbit) and I really like this team.

Fellas,
Glad everyone's back. I just assumed everyone was either out of town or moving (MCA).

HUGE series win in taking two out of three from the Tigers. If we can pitch like this for the next month, we should be in business. This Yankees series will be a good litmus test.

Hope everyone had a good holiday...

Also - this Steve McNair situation is quite disturbing and should be yet another reminder to young athletes to be VERY careful who you hang out with. Trouble just seems to find NFL players...true, McNair appears to not be a saint, but he certainly didn't deserve what he got. Yikes...
