Hey, Twins, wake the F up!
From Joe Christensen: After Tuesday’s 3-2 loss, Justin Morneau told reporters, “I don’t think we have enough energy or are playing with enough enthusiasm. We’re not making anything happen right now. We’ve got to make things happen, not sit back.”
File that in the "No shit" folder.
Someone in that goddam clubhouse needs to step up and take control and start holding both himself and others accountable. This team looks like they are all just playing baseball to get done with the season and since they are going to finish over .500 it was a good season.

Skip: You guys. You lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you? Larry!
Larry: Lollygaggers!
Skip: Lollygaggers.

What is my problem? I wanted to punch my screen when I saw the Twins go down 1-2-3 to start the game today.
Hey, Mike Redmond, get f'ing fired up.

Got home from work to watch Ibanez hit a home run to go up 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th. Took the dog for a walk. Got back to find that Twins win 6-5 and Denard had a great throw from right (after moving over from center field during the course of the game.) Thank the Lord we go to Oakland.

that throw by Span was per-esque... in a good way.
3-4 and half way done... man, this is a stressful road trip.
Does anyone else feel dirty rooting for the yankees?

Feel filthy rooting for the yankees...and they aren't doing us any favors.
This team is in a serious funk...the pitchers are giving us decent outings, but the offense appears to be in zombie mode. Come on!! You're one game back in the division...and it's the end of August!! I am guessing Gardy gave them an expletive-laden tirade yesterday.

P.S. It worries me that the team is "tired" already, and we still have another week and a half of this road trip.

Interesting column from Jayson Stark today...and check out the "runners NOT batted in" box. Looks like Morneau has left a TON of guys on base this year.
