Super Bowl - Randy's karma catches up to him

What a great game. Wow. Just fun. Loved it that Randy is still ringless. By the way, what was that lame move he was doing after he scored his touchdown, like he was parting the seas.

Anyway, here is the e-mail I just sent my buddy Bernstein who is living over in Hong Kong and I am sure called in sick today:

Re: 18-1

"That’s still a pretty good season. Did you get to watch the game?"

wow is right, that was one of the more entertaining superbowls that I've ever watched...a number of players stepping up in the 2nd half. I've got to give Eli credit-I don't think he's much better than average, for a starting NFL quarterback, but he certainly played well in the 2nd half of the game last night.

If I were giving the MVP out, however, it would have been to the Giants front 4. Other than the Patriots TD drive in the 4th, Brady was pressured and knocked around on anything more than a screen or 5 yd out. They absolutely ruled the line of scrimmage--- so much so, they actually made the Giants secondary look good- and the Giants CBs are not good.

Congratulations New York....and to you too, Mercury Morris

Per, did Bernstein rub in Johan's departure?

Did anyone else see Brady's response to Burress' prediction of a Giants win 21-17 earlier in the week? Brady said "He thinks we are only going to score 17?" Well Tom, you did not even do that.

The 15-1 Vikings who? Completely irrelevant now except to those of us who bleed the purple and white.

Did anyone see the pregame prediction by the guy who does the Madden impressions? He started with Madden crying over the Pack losing. Classic.

Guys, can I vote for all four options in today's poll?!? Literally, when Randy scored that TD I said to my buddy, "he doesn't deserve this", to which my boy said: "why? he was great for you guys." To which I replied "Yeah, but he quit on us...and the Raiders. All he cares about is himself." Just goes to show that big-time receivers are the least clutch (and sometimes least valuable) members of a team in important games. Wes Welker was WAY more important to them. I could have caught Randy's TD (and yeah, was that a "swim move" or what? Lame.)

Anyway, how big of a nard is Belichick? Dude, display just a little sportsmanship...has he lost it? He blew off Dungy earlier this year, too! Who does that? He's a sore loser and a terrible winner...bottom line is that the Patriots arrogance and karma caught up to them. If it's true that they taped the Rams before the super bowl, forget it. Belichick is done.

And yes, I did enjoy seeing Brady get crushed. He didn't play well, but his O-Line was awful, so it's not totally his fault. And speaking of Eli, do you guys remember when the Vikes crushed the g-men in NY? And picked Eli 3 times? How long ago does that seem?

Mercury Morris needs to take it easy...
