"Herschel" Monroe?

Disturbing quote from new Twin Craig Monroe:

"I went through a tough period," he said. "All players go through it. I need to go out and prove to myself and everyone in baseball what Craig Monroe can do."

And Jimmy likes Elaine. Let's just say this...if he picks up bobsledding this winter, I say we cut him. Another noteworth item pertaining to the deal: if he doesn't agree to a salary cut, the Twins are going to waive him (3rd-person speech patterns or not), and don't have to send anyone to the Cubs.

On the plus side, he and Torii are buddies...though Hunter was quoted as saying that the Twins signing Monroe will have no bearing on his free agent decision.
