The blog formerly about a daily dose of mostly Minnesota sports rants and raves with a sprinkling of general sports commentary and a pinch of jaded-malaise regarding the world around us

All Day is now Not Today

Rookie running back Adrian Peterson has a partial tear of his lateral collateral ligament but won’t need surgery, Vikings coach Brad Childress said at his press conference today at Winter Park. It’s uncertain how much time Peterson will miss, but the Vikings certainly aren’t going to take any chances.

Childress said he has been told Peterson’s injury is not season ending. The NFL’s leading rusher has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against Oakland. (The LCL holds the outside of the knee together, keeping the leg from collapsing outwards.)

PAP - Can we change our byline to something that reflects that we're mostly Minnesota ex-pats musing mostly on Minnesota sports issues? I wouldn't want some outsider to see this blog and think we're full of philosophical insights or have anything else to contribute that the rest of the world might find even somewhat interesting. False advertising and all. By the way, thanks for the work in getting our baby birthed. I look forward to celebrating the 100th visit to our blog sometime in 2011.

MCA - is that headline better? I need to find out how to show more of the comments etc. and get it to be conversational

That seems to be about the right recipe.

I don't know on the comments issue. May have to go with more of a bulletin board approach? Unless we block all comments from people other than the 5 of us, there's little control of the conversation in a comments thread. And it is sort of a pain to get to. I have faith in your prodigious savvy to devise something.
