Gamblor takes on the World Cup
8 years ago I was in Vegas for my wedding. On one of the nights leading up to the big day, I was on the strip and lost quite a bit of money, at least a lot to me. As I was licking my wounds, I came up with a sure fire way to come out even for the night. I walked into the sportsbook and put enough on Germany at somewhere in the neighborhood of -$300 to win $100 to beat the US. I went to bed that night praying that the US did not pick up its biggest win ever. I awoke the next morning a genius as Germany won 1-0. In my mind I was now an expert on soccer. Predictably, I lost my shirt betting on and against the likes of Senegal, South Korea and Ireland. With my credentials or lack there of laid out, here are Gamblor's opening round bets:

I was at that wedding and remember going down to the window with drinkingtommykramer who I remember was convinced Portugal was going to take out the US. LOSER.

that was one of the worst days of get me out of vegas as fast as possible that turned into "I can't get out of vegas" at all, ever.
Fuck portugal.
