Michael Cudyer Watch

Alright, I hate the guy. I think he is somehow become Gardy's 'great white hope' in the outfield (which is fine, he has an arm) but I can't stand watching him at the plate. Why can't we do "Soul Patrol Part Deux" with Span, Gomez, & D Young?

He is hitting .231 with 8 k's in 26 at bats. I know, week 2 of the season but. . .

If I used Twitter I would Tweet this but this is close enough (it's around 8:40pm.) Bases loaded with one out and Cuddy up - 4 pitch strike out. Nice work, fucker.

I can't believe we had lost 10 in a row to that team. AL East is scary deep.

I've got my wallet out and am ready to buy a ticket to your Anti-Cuddy train. I won't get on the train until June 1 or so, but I'm buying a ticket, anyway.

His inability to take pitches is probably the biggest problem I have with him. I've always hated that first ball flailing. It worked for Torii and Kirby, it doesn't work for Cuddy.

Funny how we're not cutting Cuddyer any slack, yet we're all fired up that Crede's hitting about .200. I guess after 6 years of the same old, same old with Cuddy, it's just gotten tiresome.

Is it a sign that I'm getting older that I think the concept of Twitter is idiotic and narcissistic? Why would anyone want to know what I'm doing every moment of the day? I think I'm becoming a curmudgeon.

Jan, thanks for the text about Crede's dinger in Chicago. I regretted not being at home to hear Harrelson's reaction. My guess is he was all "Welcome Home, Big Guy! Look at those fans - that's great, isn't it? They still love 'ya, Joe." CRACK. "Aww, c'mon, now that's just rude. That's just rude."

Jan - love the gamecast! Loved the Crede text as well...they played the Bremer/Blyleven reaction and it went something like "...and now they are booing him! Unbelievable!" (as apparently he got a standing O when he came to the plate.

BTW - did anyone else watch the Miami of Ohio meltdown in the Frozen Four?!? Great game...sad ending (for MIami). I felt bad for them...it was as if they watched the Vikings 1998 team video during intermission, but forgot to turn it off before the Atlanta game.

Yeah, that was a pretty ugly on MOH's part... kind of sad, I was pulling for them.. it was also the only college hockey game that I watched this year- so I think that might have had someting to do with the outcome.

I'm not even buying a ticket yet on that train... I might be eyeing the line from a distance making sure that it isn't getting too long, but at this point I'm not there...though I can understand why others are starting to get in line, it's been ugly to date.
