Honkytown - Wisconsin Basketball
Watching the Badger/Davidson tourney game and wondered: looking that this 'Sconny team, when is the last time you saw a more whitebread team? Seriously. Could these dudes look anymore like they are from Eau Claire/Appleton/Kenosha/Sheboygan? Sure the Gopher's have their share of dudes form Chaska but wow.

Too bad Davidson wasn't able to pull through over Kansas yesterday, I was pulling for them even though they were screwing up my bracket. All in all, it was a pretty impressive run for a school of 1,700....and this on the heels of what George Mason did. I know that it couldn't really work for football, but it's too bad that basketball has such a great way of selecting its National Champion while football's method really sucks.

Dudes, not only that, but they all look exactly alike! Seriously. I have no idea how they win so much. I guess Bo Ryan is really a good coach with a good "system."
Davidson rules...I love that they pushed Kansas to the limit yesterday and had a chance to win it.

BTW, the new Delmon Young ad is awesome. Hrbek coming in late with the hunting gear on is laugh-out-loud funny.

Too true about Wisco, they look like Majerus's Utah Convention of Identical Mormons teams. Although I shouldn't pick on them too much, since one of their 6'9" freshmen hails from my high school.
Anyway, I also loved the Delmon Young/Hrbek ad, although I was hoping there might be a translator for Oliva. Barely understood a word. What really makes me sad, however, is that there will never be a Twins Territory ad featuring the Puckster.
Seen in Karl Ravech's pre-season article for ESPN today, with questions for every division on Opening Day: "Who will finish last in the AL Central - Royals or Twins." Ouch. We're not that deluded about our chances at third place, are we? Are we really worse than the ChiSox and the Royals? C'mon.

Oh, by the way: Go-Go? I'll take 161 more of these, please. 2-3 with a double, couple runs, couple stolen bases on Opening Day? Also, Livan dealing? 4 stolen bases? What in tarnation is going on here? I'm not watching this, and it's a precarious one run lead, but me likey what I see on the GameCast stats so far.
